You can claim mobile phone bills for business use and/or charges that are business-related. 

If the phone is solely for business purposes then 100% of the bill may be claimed.

If the phone is mixed use (i.e. for business and personal) then you may only claim the percentage used for business purposes. 

Instructions:

  • For mixed use phones, enter the total cost of the bill (or portion you are wanting to claim).
  • Make sure you select the percentage being claimed from the drop-down menu (it will default to 50%) so the system can automatically calculate the claimable amount for you. 
  • Additional items being claimed (i.e. call charges for business use) should be raised as separate expenses where the full 100% may be claimed. These charges should be marked or highlighted on the bill that you upload.
