Because you use Hnry, we'll take care of all your GST (if applicable) and Income Tax filings for you and get everything sorted at the end of the tax year. 

Not long after the financial year has come to a close, we will be in touch to provide you with a summary of your Income and Expenses for the year. Before we can file your tax returns, we will need you to check and approve that all the information on the summary is correct.

But in order for us to do this as seamlessly as possible at year-end, we do need you to maintain information in your Hnry profile throughout the year:

  • Make sure ALL of your sources of income are logged on your 'Financial Details' page in Hnry. This includes any permanent PAYE/salary and income from government subsidies, as well as any rental, dividend, overseas, and partnership/trust income.
  • Ensure that all your business and home office expenses for the current Financial Year have been logged in Hnry ahead of March 31st.

If we don't have the right information from you, we won't be able to file your tax returns quickly and easily.

Sources of Income

Throughout the year, you'll need to make sure all of your sources of income (dividends, PAYE/salary, government subsidies) have been entered into the Hnry system and are up-to-date. This will ensure that we can get the right forms all filled out for you at the end of the year.

N.B. If there are income sources that we haven't previously been made aware of, we won't have been able to take them into account when setting your tax rate on your income through Hnry so far.

Expenses

Please make sure that all of your relevant expenses are logged in the Hnry platform. If you signed up to Hnry part way through the Financial Year, you can either manually upload expense receipts or use one of the options in the below article:
